Direct Billing
Yes! For your convenience, Dental Land offers direct billing (also known as assignment of benefits) to most major insurance providers. This means we can bill your insurer directly for the portion of your treatment that’s covered, so you don’t have to pay the full amount upfront or wait for reimbursement.
Any remaining balance—such as deductibles, co-payments, or services not included in your plan—will be your responsibility and can be paid at the time of your appointment. Our team is always here to provide clear estimates and answer any billing questions you may have.

Some insurance plans provide partial coverage for orthodontic treatments like Invisalign or braces, especially for children and teenagers. Coverage for adults is often limited or available as an optional add-on, depending on your provider.
In some situations, your dental insurance may not cover the full cost of treatment. This often applies to cosmetic procedures like teeth whitening or veneers, or when treatment exceeds your plan’s annual coverage limit. If that happens, there’s no need to worry—our team will guide you through all available options, such as:
Creating a phased treatment plan
Offering flexible scheduling to fit your needs
Providing clear and upfront cost estimates
Exploring suitable alternative treatments
We also accept major credit cards and debit, and offer flexible payment plans to help make high-quality dental care more affordable for you.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal initiative designed to make dental care more affordable for Canadians who do not have private dental insurance. It provides coverage for essential services such as exams, cleanings, x-rays, fillings, and more—based on income level and eligibility.
Beginning in May 2024, the CDCP is expanding in phases to include more eligible Canadians, including seniors, children under 18, and people with disabilities. Eventually, the program will be available to all qualifying residents across the country who lack private dental coverage.
If you’re unsure whether you qualify, the team at Dental Land is here to help. We can guide you through the application process and explain how to access your CDCP benefits at our clinic. We’re committed to ensuring quality dental care is accessible to everyone in the Summerhill community.
